Every year we age, but studies provide information on slowing or reversing this inevitable process. Hollywood celebrities have long pursued a number of questionable procedures to hold on to youth - some involving expenses and risks the average person would be loath to try. One of the first things that people should do to slow or reverse the effects of aging is quit smoking or never start smoking.
This terrible habit it hard to break once started, and it takes a toll on the human system. There are some aids to help people stop smoking although quitting “cold turkey” has proven effective for many people. Nicotine patches, gum or medications can help people quit, and anyone who wants to slow or reverse the process should do whatever it takes to quit.
Many people enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail and drinking in moderation should not be a problem for. People who drink excessive amounts of alcohol should cut down if they want to slow or reverse this normal process.
Many people do not get enough rest and maybe they will be able to overcome some of their bad habits if they are rested. A good sleep every night will help people slow or reverse the aging process. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night.

Remember, all the nutrients are required every day for the body to maintain, repair and rejuvenate itself.
Maintaining a healthy weight is important. There is plenty of information on appropriate weight for each person, and it is recommended to check and use these figures.
Exercise is crucial. To slow or reverse the aging process you should try to exercise for thirty minutes at least three or four days a week. More exercise would be even better if possible.
Stress takes a toll on the human psyche and the physical well being of each person. Work to eliminate stress from your life, and you will look and feel better. Eliminating stress produces a positive outlook on life resulting in a better quality of life.
